Despite an increase in exports of the all-new Mazda2 to Europe and CX-9 exports, July 2007 exports were down 10.3% on July 2006. This was as a result of reduced Mazda6 and Mazda5 exports.
On a market basis, exports to Europe were healthy, reaching 25,662 units (up 13.9%) mainly due to added Mazda2 and CX-7 exports.
- Exports of key models in July 2007:
Mazda2: 2,854 units (up 255.0% year-on-year)
CX-9: 4,846 units
Mazda6: 8,349 units (down 30.6% year-on-year)
Mazda5: 4,487 units (down 48.2% year-on-year)

Advancements to the AT models
6-speed automatic transmission
The adoption of the 6-speed AT, increased by two speeds over the base 4-speed, enabled the overall gear ratio range to be widened and the gaps between each gear to be reduced to achieve a better close ratio. This results in a more powerful, smoother acceleration and reduces shift shock, while improving noise reduction at high speeds and increasing fuel efficiency.

Mazda has delivered one dual-fueled RX-8 Hydrogen RE vehicle, which runs on either gasoline or hydrogen..
Mazda Motor Corporation today announced that it has delivered one dual-fueled RX-8 Hydrogen RE vehicle, which runs on either gasoline or hydrogen, to the Japan Automobile Research Institute (JARI). The Mazda RX-8 Hydrogen RE has a rotary engine with a dual-fuel system that allows the driver to select either gasoline or hydrogen fuel with the flick of a switch.
JARI is working with the New Energy and Industrial Technology Development Organization (NEDO) on the Establishment of Codes & Standards for a Hydrogen Economy Society project. The RX-8 Hydrogen RE will be used as part of its R&D activities to review the regulations regarding the safety of hydrogen vehicles, establish examination and evaluation techniques and create proposals for international standards. Take today’s test car, the 2007 Mazda CX-9, and look at it from just behind the front wheel, forward to the grille. You might think it is a sleek sedan, such as an Acura TL. Examine it from the rear tire backward and you might imagine it’s a high performance SUV, such as the Porsche Cayenne. And if you focus only on the center it resembles a modern minivan, like the Dodge Grand Caravan.

Mazda3 sedan models come with a 2.0-litre four-cylinder engine with five-speed manual transmission or optional four-speed automatic, in base GX or midrange GS trim; or with a 2.3-litre four-cylinder and five-speed manual or optional five-speed automatic in the GT.
Features on the GX sedan include 15-inch steel wheels, four-wheel disc brakes with ABS, manual remote mirrors, CD player with two speakers, fixed intermittent wipers, tilt and telescopic steering wheel, engine immobilizer theft system, 60/40 folding rear seats and floor mats.
